    Kasou Taishou Show

    Kasou Taishou Show

I've been seeing this show from time to time. It's most  innovatively show I've ever seen.

    What's Kasou Taishou?

Hopeful groups and individuals from across Japan gather once a year, in Tokyo, for NTV's contest, Kasou Taishou. A contest of live performances that create some kind of illusion using simple props, sound effects, and creativity. Each entry is judged by a panel of celebrities who put points up on the big meter you'll see at the end of each clip. Entries that score into the red, are invited to the winners circle for a shot at one of the many prizes with the overall winner taking home 2,000,000 yen.

They had lots of amazing ideas and performance, such as Matrix pingpong I showed before, or this one - shadow

    Apple admitted Nano had issues

Apple to Fix Nano Screens, Not Scratches

In a statement issued late Tuesday, Apple acknowledged that a manufacturing error led to a small percentage of iPod Nanos with weak screens, which could potentially crack in a tight pocket. Apple says it will replace any Nanos with broken displays, but not those with scratches.

"This is a real but minor issue involving a vendor quality problem in a small number of units," explained Apple Senior Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing Phil Schiller. "In fact, this issue has affected less than 1/10 of 1 percent of the total iPod Nano units that we've shipped. It is not a design issue."

As for the scratches, Schiller said the Nano was built using the same material found in the fourth generation iPod, which was free of complaints.

"We have received very few calls from customers reporting this problem – we do not think this is a widespread issue," said Schiller. "If customers are concerned about scratching we suggest they use one of the many iPod Nano cases to protect their iPod."

In a response on his site, Peterson said, "I am very delighted to see Apple take this issue seriously. It is sad that it took a website and a lot of publicity before they finally investigated, but at least future Nano users with the same problem I had will not be subjected to the same treatment that I was."

"I know a lot of people are going to complain that they still have to spend extra money on a case to prevent scratching," Peterson added. "I guess I can handle using an iPod sock on my Nano knowing that I can look at my screen and show someone a picture."

iPod Nano May Have Some Big Problems

Thinking of getting an Apple's New iPod Nano? Not so fast!

Apprently there are quite a few complains and issues with iPod Nano's plastic cover. It is really easy to scratch and crack! Some users said it got scratch only by putting in pocket for half hour.

A customer even set up a website to collect information and express his frastration with iPod Nano. http://flawedmusicplayer.com/

He went to a local Apple Store and had a short conversation with clerk:

I VIST AN APPLE STORE (Sunday 9/25/05)

Well I had gotten a few emails from people saying that the Nano’s in their local Apple store were severely scratched. I couldn’t believe that Apple would have scratched models on display. I have never seen a scratched iBook or PowerBook, so I decided to investigate for myself. I visited the Apple Store nearest me located at the Somerset Collection in Troy, Michigan (2800 West Big Beaver Road, Suite N-112, Troy MI.  48084 http://www.apple.com/somerset). When I walked in, the Nano’s were located directly to my right, where 2 iBooks and a few printers used to be on display. I had the pleasure of speaking with Amanda, an Apple Store employee who was working the Nano table. There were several Nano’s on display. The one nearest me was a white model that looked like someone had taken a steel wool pad to the screen. You could barely see the LCD underneath through all of the scratches. When Amanda was finished speaking to a customer I started asking her questions. It went a little something like this:

Matt: This iPod looks really scratched. How did this happen?

Amanda: Well we have had thousands of people handling them.

Matt: This happened from people just touching it? They weren’t rubbing them on something or putting it in their pocket? Is it really this easy to scratch?

Amanda: Yes it can scratch easily but I don’t think that really matters.

Matt: Well most people buy an iPod for the look. You don’t think they are concerned with an iPod that scratches this easily?

Amanda: No, I mean I have an iPod for the music not how it looks, but if someone is concerned about scratching we do sell cases for them.

Matt: I have seen some sites on the internet where people complain of scratching and cracked LCD screens. Has your store had any returns for this problem?

Amanda: No it is still a new product. I don’t think we have had any returns yet.

Matt: So you sell a product that scratches easily, so that you can sell a case. That is a pretty good marketing strategy

Amanda: Well, that’s how they get you.

Matt: Interesting. May I have your card?

    Amanda: Sure

Matt:  By the way, I run a website that is collecting information from Nano owners about all of the problems they are having. I am going to post the information you have given to me on my website. I really hope you don’t lose your job. Have a good day.

    GOOD ONE ! Apple !

    Listen to this.
